An Eye-Catching Exterior
The Lexus IS has an angular grille that’s covered by horizontal black bars, and a chrome Lexus emblem is in the center. It comes with a power moonroof, 17-inch wheels, and LED headlights and taillights. A power sunshade for the moonroof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and auto-dimming side mirrors are optional.
The F Sport and the F Sport Black Line Special Edition models have a mesh grille, and the Special Edition includes black side mirrors and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. Lexus will only make 900 F Sport Black Line Special Edition models, so you should act quickly for one of these top-of-the-line trims.
Excellent Performance
Lexus has tested the IS on a variety of iconic tracks, including the Fuji Speedway. Innovative laser screw welding and a special adhesive bonding process give the body better rigidity. The wheelbase is longer and wider than previous models for more agility, increased stability, a more striking look, and an additional 3 inches of legroom for rear passengers. You can also choose normal, eco, sport S, or custom driving modes. The 350 versions also come with a Sport S+ mode, which gives you a tighter suspension.
The IS 300 has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 241 horsepower and 358 pound-feet of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and the models with all-wheel drive have a six-speed automatic. With rear-wheel drive, the IS gets 30 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg in the city. With the 350, you’ll get a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It gets 28 mpg on larger roads and 20 mpg in traffic.
A Comfortable, Convenient Interior
This sedan comes with NuLuxe synthetic leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and folding rear seats. The HomeLink universal transceiver can control your garage, your home security system, your house’s lighting, and more. You’ll also get free roadside assistance for the first 10 years, parking assistance for perpendicular and parallel parking, braking assistance, and 10 airbags.
You can add cooled and heated front seats, navigation, a 10.3-inch touch screen, voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a 15-speaker 835-watt audio system. Memory settings for the front seats, the side mirrors, and the leather-trimmed steering wheel are also available. The F Sport Black Line Special Edition models have blue interior accents, a heated steering wheel, and a SmartAccess card key that fits in your wallet for keyless entry.
