The Dime

Situated inside the Renaissance Hotel in Allentown, The Dime is an upscale restaurant offering American food with local ingredients. The menu features several steakhouse classics that pair perfectly with a bottle of red wine. Opt for their 8-ounce Choice filet mignon topped with grilled garlic shrimp and ask your server to suggest a pairing. If you have a favorite glass, check The Dime’s extensive wine list for a match or a similar option. They offer wines both by the glass and by the bottle.  

The Wooden Match

In a rustic and charming old railway station, you’ll find The Wooden Match. This cigar bar meets gastro, meets wine bar has something for everyone. Keep an eye out for their cigar of the month specials and regular events. Along with a full menu of comfort food items like pierogis and nachos, The Wooden Match also offers an impressive wine list of bottles and glasses. You can even enjoy some wine in your meal with the Red Dawn entree featuring red wine braised boneless beef short ribs and a demi-glace.

Bar Roma

Roma Ristorante or Bar Roma is an Italian restaurant serving lunch and dinner throughout the week. Sunday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Bar Roma offers $1 off glasses of wine during their happy hour time. Start off with a drink from their martini or cocktail menu and a few appetizers for the table. As you consider your meal, discuss wine pairings with your sever or order one of their prized Italian bottles for the table and work your food choice around it. This is the place to go if you want to learn more about Italian wine.

Tapas on Main

For some unique, Spanish-inspired dishes and a full list of wine and sangrias to match, head to Tapas on Main. Their dinner menu features imported meats and cheeses, tapas shared plates, and traditional entrees like Carne a la Parilla. Stop by for lunch and choose from a menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches. Try the Three Gypsies drink option to sample three different Sangrias made with either red or white wine and fresh fruits. Tapas on Main offers a wine list of more than 25 different wines by the glass or bottle.

Artisan Wine Bar

Located in the old historic freight house of Bethlehem, the Artisan Wine Bar is the perfect place for a wine-focused evening. Guests can sip different types of wine and enjoy cheese pairings with a full cheese board including meat and crackers. If you’re hungry, they also offer choices from The Wooden Match restaurant. They are open Wednesday through Saturday evenings and host live music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.
