Lexus UX 250 HybridThe brand new Lexus UX 250h is a compact SUV with the panache of a luxury sedan combined with gas sipping hybrid technology. Offered in base, F-Sport, and Luxury trim levels, the UX offers superb craftsmanship, high quality materials, and state-of-the-art technology. Here are five of the features that make it a smart choice for city drivers.

1. Exterior Styling

The UX 250h stands out on the city streets with its bold grille design, striking bi-LED headlights, and integrated daytime running lights. The sleek, sculpted profile flows to the rear where the aerodynamic LED taillights are connected by a ribbon of light. Base trim features chrome trim, fog lights, proximity entry, 18-inch alloy wheels with run-flat tires, and heated power mirrors with turn signals.

F-Sport models offer unique trim and badging, LED fog lamps and cornering lights, and five split-spoke alloy wheels. Luxury trim adds to the base model with an approach illumination system, a power moonroof, and a power hands-free liftgate. Automatic dimming mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse make for easy parking. You can opt for distinctive triple beam LED auto-leveling headlights on all trims.

2. Luxurious Interior

Inside the contemporary cabin, the intuitively positioned controls are angled toward you to make you feel at one with the car. Standard features include NuLuxe simulated leather upholstery with power front seats and 60/40 split folding rear seats and, for your comfort and convenience, you have push-button start, and automatic dual-zone climate control.

The unique interior of the F-Sport features sports front seats, race-inspired digital instrument cluster, aluminium pedals, and a perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel. Stepping up to Luxury trim gives you heated and cooled front seats, a memory feature for driver’s seat and door mirrors, and sound canceling glass to dampen the noise of the city.

3. Connectivity and Entertainment

The Lexus multimedia system features a 7-inch touch screen, 4G Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, smartphone app-based navigation, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, voice activation, four USB ports, and six-speaker audio with HD and satellite radio. Luxury models add a 10.3-inch split-screen display with integrated navigation and an eight-speaker audio system.

4. Power and Performance

Powering the UX 250h is a four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine linked to a powerful nickel-metal hydride battery. The system delivers a total power output of 181 horsepower to the front wheels. When additional traction is needed, the all-wheel-drive system can transfer up to 80% of the power to the rear wheels.

The 10-speed direct-shift continuously variable transmission features a manual first gear for confident acceleration away from the lights. The 250h will return up to 41 mpg for city driving and its agile handling also features a best-in-class turning radius for negotiating tight city spaces.

5. Driver Assistance

The standard Lexus Safety System includes all-speed adaptive cruise control, pre-collision alert with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane keep assist, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. Luxury trim offers blind spot monitoring.
