Here are a few of the best places to find dumplings in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania.

Mi Chong’s Kitchen

On Tilghman Street in Allentown, you’ll find Mi Chong’s Kitchen offering a full menu of tasty Chinese fare. Fried and steamed dumplings are both available as well as many other great appetizers. Start your meal with an order of hot dumplings and try some other favorites like the spicy chef’s specialty; Buddha Jumped Over the Wall. This surf and turf dish gives you a variety of flavors and will surely satisfy your appetite. 

Asia

Considered to be one of the area’s best spots for Chinese food, Asia is open every day except Sunday for dinner. The authentic Chinese menu allows guests to try some traditional dishes that they may not have had the opportunity to taste before, like Jellyfish and Chinese Salami or Pork Belly, Chef-made Sauerkraut, and Frozen Tofu in a clay pot. Classic pan-fried and steamed pork dumplings are available as an appetizer with eight per order.

Sakura Teriyaki

Sakura Teriyaki on West Liberty Street in Allentown offers take-out and dining in. You can even order online for convenience. Steamed and fried dumplings come with eight in an order and a pork filling and dipping sauce. Try the Pu Pu Platter for a collection of appetizers to try with a friend or special date. For something a little sweeter after you’ve enjoyed your dumplings, try the fried plantains.

Hunan Springs

For authentic Asian cuisine and awesome cocktails, head to Hunan Springs on Hamilton Boulevard in Wescosville. This is a great spot for a quick lunch while on break from work. The Express Lunch menu is available from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on weekdays. The appetizer menu includes pan-fried and steamed dumplings with pork, chicken, or veggie fillings. Come out seven days a week for dinner and be sure to check their website for regular specials.

Liu’s House

At Liu’s House, you can enjoy Chinese and Japanese food. Sushi and Sashimi dishes are available along with traditional Chinese dishes. Pork and vegetable dumplings come as a plate of six from the Chinese appetizer menu. Vegetable dumplings are also an option if you don’t want meat. Liu’s also offers shrimp dumplings for something different.

Order online and have your dumplings delivered as long as you live within four miles of the restaurant. If you’re looking to get out of the house or for a great date option, Liu’s house is known for a welcoming atmosphere and great service.
