Food lovers in the Allentown and Lehigh Valley areas have a lot to be happy about in 2018. There are so many amazing new restaurants opening up in the area that it’s hard to know where to start. From nationally recognized chains to some lesser known franchises, there’s something here for everybody to love. If you can’t wait to try some of these new venues for yourself but you’re not quite sure where to start, here are four of the newest restaurant chains in the Allentown area you’re sure to appreciate.

512 Restaurant

512 is an Italian restaurant chain that originally opened for business in Texas and has recently begun to expand into areas like Pennsylvania. They offer a more relaxed Italian dining atmosphere with family-friendly menu items on deck like gourmet pizzas and interesting pasta combinations. They may also surprise you now and then by throwing some Spanish-themed items on the menu unexpectedly.

Urbano Mexican Kitchen and Bar

The 3PA Restaurant Group has already brought you some area favorites like Mesa Modern Mexican, Tapas on Main, and The Flying Egg. Their newest endeavor, Urbano Mexican Kitchen and Bar, seeks to provide a casual dining experience with a menu that is similar in many ways to the one you’re used to seeing at Mesa Modern Mexican. The owners say, however, that there will be some interesting twists on Urbano’s menu, making it unique in its own way. Urbano occupies the space previously taken by Little Italy on Main Street.

Cave Brewing

Funk Brewing Co. and Yergey Brewing in Emmaus have partnered up with local brewmaster Jeffrey Bonner to bring Cave Brewing to the Allentown area. Jeffrey opened the first Cave Brewing location three years ago and is so proud of its success that he can’t wait to share it with residents of Allentown. Some pretty good food will be on the menu, but of course the real attraction here will be the house-brewed craft beers that are made right in the restaurant.

CoreLife Eatery

If you’re a health food nut and you’ve been waiting for something that will make your ears perk up, wait no more. CoreLife Eatery specializes in catering to the broth and grain bowl trend that has been cited to have a number of health benefits. CoreLife opened their first location in New York in 2015 and has been slowly expanding along the east coast, to the delight of health food addicts everywhere. Even if you’ve never tried a broth and grain bowl before, CoreLife Eatery is worth checking out. You’ll probably be surprised at just how delicious healthy food done right can be.

This is an exciting time for people in the Allentown area that love to eat out and try new things. There are so many great new restaurants coming to the area this year that it would be impossible to discuss them all at once. Don’t be afraid to head out into town and explore some of these new venues for yourself.
