Fiesta Ole

Found on Chestnut Street in Emmaus, Fiesta Ole prides itself on offering Mexican cuisine that is as authentic as it is delicious. This family-owned restaurant opened its doors in 2004 and serves authentic Mexican cuisine fresh and fast. It also uses more than 20 tequilas to go into its famous margaritas. Its featured appetizers include Nachos de Carnitas, which includes cheesy nachos topped with pulled pork and pico de gallo. For tacos, consider the Fried Fish Tacos, which come with three breaded cod fish fillet tacos, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo, and lettuce served with Mexican rice and refried beans.

El Jefe’s Taqueria

Located on East Third Street in nearby Bethlehem, El Jefe’s Taqueria is a chain Mexican restaurant with another spot found on Harvard Square in Massachusetts. Open daily from 8 a.m. until 3 a.m., the restaurant takes inspiration from street vendors and serves tacos and burritos made to order. You can choose how hot you want your food by selecting hot sauce from across the globe. Some popular fillings include shrimp, spicy ground beef, braised pork, and fried tilapia.

La Cabinita

Opened in 2017, La Cabinita rests on South Pike Avenue and serves tamales, tostadas, and other Mexican-type dishes. The BYOB restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and includes a full menu, including breakfast. Egg dishes include huevos rancheros, omelets, and eggs Benedict served alongside sides such as chorizo, applewood-smoked bacon, and pork rolls.

If someone in your party isn’t feeling the whole Mexican-food vibe, the restaurant also serves a variety of unique burgers including the Ranchero, which comes with a fried egg, ham, and cheese, as well as the Tex-Mex, which features bacon, ham, cheese, hot dog strips, and pico de gallo.

La Placita

Located on North Seventh Street, La Placita opened in 2015 and is a BYOB restaurant. Seating about 50 customers, the restaurant serves a variety of Mexican foods including tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas, tostadas, and carne asada. If you’re in the mood for breakfast, it also serves pancakes and huevos rancheros. All of its entrees come with beans, rice, and tortillas.
