The Lexus name is famous around the world for luxury and power. The vehicles are known for their maneuverability and sleek designs but the company itself produces quality cars that television and movies are proud to showcase. Below are just a few of the big and small screen appearances Lexus has made.

2018 Superbowl Ad

Starring Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, this commercial aired during the 2018 Superbowl ad featuring the 2018 Lexus LS 500 F Sport in all of the exciting turns and straight-aways. The subtext of the ad is duality. The combination of Black Panther and King T’Challa in the movie show two sides of the same person while the LS 500 F Sport has its own dual nature of luxury and performance.

“The Island” (2005)

The movie “The Island” takes place in the future and features the 2002 Lexus SC 430 UZZ40 as well as the Lexus 2054 EV. While the movie highlights the extreme differences in a dystopian society with a lower class catering to an upper class Utopian-like city. It follows the attempted escape of the main character and potential societal changes. Lexus is well represented in this movie with the smooth lines and curves of both models.

“A Bad Moms Christmas” (2017)

A fun Christmas story of three over-burdened and under-appreciated women is another great place for Lexus to appear. The 2006 Lexus GS S190 is a popular model for families and groups. The ladies rebelling against traditional Christmas expectations while using this vehicle is a good match made by the product placement experts involved with this movie.

“The Hangover” (2009)

The first in the franchise, “The Hangover” features many vehicles and situations a group of friends encounter while treating one of their own to a bachelor party in Las Vegas. Lexus makes an appearance while the friends are in the midst of their shenanigans. The Lexus RX XU30 is the featured model in this cult classic.

“Tower Heist” (2011)

Another blockbuster movie featuring a Lexus vehicle is “Tower Heist.” With a cast trying to steal an incredibly valuable car, this film doesn’t ignore other vehicles. The 2010 Lexus RX 350 AL10 makes an appearance on the streets of this exciting, action-packed movie.

“The Fate of the Furious” (2017)

The Fast and Furious franchise is well known for powerful and fast vehicles throughout each addition to the collection. From American muscle cars to European speedsters and everything in between, the franchise pays homage to traditional racing and newer technology in the more current vehicles. The 2011 Lexus LFA earns some screen time while the crew is unveiling their go-to vehicles for their next big altercation.

Whether you’re enjoying the big game or checking out a romantic comedy with your significant other, you are very likely to find one of the Lexus models popping up during your screen time. The versatility and diversity of the brand make Lexus an optimal choice for any movie, whether the focus is speed and power or another topic without four wheels.
